A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business & Administration Apprentice to work within our busy operational team.
Main duties
- Liaise with clients to seek work orders / purchase orders for the works to be undertaken
- Liaise with clients to arrange access to sites to undertake work, ensuring there is no covid-19 issues to be aware of
- Raise jobs on the company CRM, and assigning an operative to attend the job
- Work with the Contracts Managers and Supervisors to check the job cards once completed by the operatives
- Support the Accounts Manager in adding supplier materials to the job and chase any outstanding supplier invoices
- Check the status of the job every day and advising the office staff of work outstanding
- Check operative timesheets are completed accurately every day and advising the office staff of any discrepancies
Assist in the development of the Company CRM and providing training to others, where required; including:
- Work with Office Manager to design and update electronic forms used to complete maintenance by our operatives in the field
- Work with the Office Manager in training operatives in the use of the Company CRM
- Assist the Director and the Office Manager in the roll out of the client facing side of the CRM to key clients
- Support the team with the management and auditing of our assets, stocks and company vehicles
Support the team with the management of key contracts; including:
- Scan and save appropriate paperwork into the CRM in a timely manner
- Chase any missing information required for update reports
- Assist with the production of KPI performance management reports for clients
Support the team by assisting in setting up team meetings and toolbox talks; to include:
- Set up of meetings and produce minutes of meetings
- Coordinate the production of meeting reports
Support the team in HR matters; to include:
- Assist in the recording of holidays and other non-productive time in the CRM
- Assist in the induction of new staff; in particular printing and organising paperwork for
- new members of staff prior to works commencement; and scanning and saving this paperwork and other important information, such as new starter training certificates, into the appropriate files and the CRM
- Assist in recording and monitoring the company Training & Development Programme, in particular logging all training and qualification certificates into the CRM

- Highly organised, ability to meet tight deadlines
- Good Knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office products
- Excellent Communication Skills

- Experience in a customer facing/customer service role
- Experience of handing sensitive information with full discretion
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
Desired qualifications
- 5 GCSE grades A*-C / 9-4 Including maths & English or equivalent
Future prospects
This is an 18 month contract with the possibility of a full time role at the end of the apprenticeship
Weekly wage: £153.55
Working week
Monday – Friday, hours to be confirmed.
Total hours per week – 37
Expected duration – 18 months
